Richard Caston
Managing Partner

Richard is a Founding Partner of RJD Partners and a member of the Investment Committee.
He leads new investments and has strong experience in the consumer, education and training and white collar outsourcing sectors. He has led a number of successful investments at RJD including Teaching Personnel, Ipes and Survey Solutions.
Richard also works closely with existing portfolio companies and is currently a director of Improve International and Voyager School Travel.
He has worked with growing businesses in private equity for over 20 years having previously worked at Legal and General Ventures; and Royal Bank Private Equity.
Richard is a chartered accountant and holds an MA in Engineering Science from Oxford University.
David MacLellan

David is a Founding Partner and Chairman of RJD Partners, chairman of the Investment Committee and non-executive chairman for Stone Group. David is also responsible for investor relations.
He was previously at Arthur Young McClelland Moores (now Ernst & Young), where he qualified as a chartered accountant, and Murray Johnstone.
David is a director of J&J Denholm Limited, and a Trustee of Glasgow’s Burrell Collection.
David holds an BCom from the University of Edinburgh.

Emma joined RJD in 2020 and is the Office Manager and also EA to the team.
She previously worked at Swan Partners Ltd where she worked as the Office Executive Assistant.
